Meandering sigils inscribe a lore of inexorable beauty
Alluvial Crush captures the dynamic beauty of natural pattern formation through a reaction-diffusion simulation using the Gray-Scott model. This mathematical system uses chemical reactions to describe the emergence of self-organizing patterns found throughout nature, ranging from the spots on a leopard to the intricate formations of coral growth and the meandering channels of river deltas.
The Gray-Scott model simulates two chemical species that react and diffuse at different rates, generating spontaneous pattern emergence. For this design we tuned the simulation parameters and initial state to produce ever expanding spiral waves crashing into each other in a perpetual chaotic dance.
Alluvial Crush is a snapshot of this endless dance of creation and dissolution, a testament to the unpredictable beauty of systems that thrive far from balance.
